You know how people say “Careful what you ask for”? Well I am starting to think that there is true to that. In the past three or four years I have become a firm believer that thoughts are very strong and they make things happen. When I used to go to Unity there was something said at service that has stayed with me “All your thoughts are prayers, listen to what you are saying”. Sometimes I forget that all my thoughts are a prayer to the Universe (that’s how I call it but you can call it whatever you want) and the Universe is always listening. Sometimes what you ask for might not come in exactly the shape or form you were expecting but it gets to you. This past week I had something wonderful happen, I had wanted to go to a particular event and I asked the universe – perhaps things didn’t go exactly as I wanted or expected and then I was reminded…you have to be very specific as to what you want. It’s not just saying I want a new house, or I want to go to Dudamel’s Concert with Juan Luis Guerra in L.A. in August. Is saying I want a new house in Coral Gables and even better if you write that address…Helena Osorio, 1705 Coral Way, Coral Gables, FL 33134 (I just made up that number so let’s hope there’s a house there). But you get what I’m saying right? Same thing goes for negative thoughts – if you are always thinking you will not do well, you will get sick, you have no money – guess what? The Universe listens and boom! You are sick, with no money and feel like you are going nowhere. That’s why it is so important to always be on top of your thoughts. Lately I have become a bit of a fatalist, I have been carrying around some negative thoughts but I am conscious of them (sometimes) and try to rethink stuff and go more positive.
I think it is important to know what you want and have your focus, this I am stealing from Kallay’s SOC Sunday…as I read it something went click. So have a focus, know what you want, and be very specific with what you ask the Universe. Oh! and another good one that I learnt at Unity? I am open and receptive to unexpected income! Say it, believe it and let me know how it goes.
And you, do you ever ask the Universe for stuff? Do you see it manifest itself?
